about
Kinross Community Center aims to provide an equitable space for young creators to connect, collaborate, and grow while building a community focused on developing skills and finding validating and energizing ways to support themselves.
origin story
Kinross Community Center began as a pod of board gamers, trying to find a way to survive quarantine. What began as a neglected frat house basement, with a few brooms, a lot of trash bags and a few weeks of sweat became a comfy place to get out of the house after long months in isolation. As many of our favorite places to hang out, listen to music or perform shut down, we realized we had more than enough space to create or show off the art, music and poetry we created during the height of the pandemic. This begun the creation of KCC -- a third space, a place for people to come, relax, create and take pride in their creation. We hope that our work, our gathering and our celebrations inspire you to engage in unabashed self-expression, pride in your creativity and work and to live a life of shared joy and communion with your neighbors.
Live local and prosper,
Kinross Community Center
